Our last full day in WDW started with Kenny leaving us for a golfing trip to Myrtle Beach with some buddies. After his ride to the airport picked him up, Mom, Sue and I hopped on a bus to Animal Kingdom and snagged Fast Passes for Everest. But by the time we got there, the ride had broken down and a car full of riders was stuck at the top of the hill. We didn’t think too much of it; Disney’s pretty good at fixing those kinds of problems in a timely manner, so we thought the train would be running again by the time we returned.
In the meantime, we decided to hit up Dinosaur and do some shopping in the Dinoland USA. But when we went back to the Asia part of the park, the train was still stuck (but all the people were gone …because they were MASSACRED BY THE YETI! Just kidding – they were safely evacuated. Or were they? *Dun dun DUN.*)
Sunday evening, I went back to the Magic Kingdom with the rest of the family for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Once again, the place was filled to the brim with people, but at least the crowds were thinning a bit as people who didn’t purchase tickets to the party were beginning to leave.
There were a lot of kids dressed up that night, but none of them held a candle to Laney in her Cave Girl costume.
Sunday was my “Alone Day” – I wanted to go big, and everyone else wanted to take it slow before hitting up Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that night. I was actually excited to have my own plan and not have to make any compromises.
Soon as I was ready to go, I headed to EPCOT for the 3rd day in a row (because I’m a science/world-cultures nerd like that.) Right away, I saw Stitch and barely any line to take pictures with him! I guess few people even saw him since he was so close to the entrance, but either way, it meant I got to be a fool again!
This Thursday, I’m flying to Orlando for vacation with my family – we’re going to Walt Disney World! We’re kind of boring when it comes to vacations. We always go on either a Carnival cruise (which I do not enjoy so much, ever since I got seasick on my first one) or we head to WDW. We’ve been there enough times to know that October is the best time of year to go. EPCOT hosts an annual International Food and Wine Festival and the Magic Kingdom throws Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, both events we’re attending and I’m super stoked for.
